Renting a car by the month in the Dominican Republic changes how you move around Punta Cana and Bavaro. Instead of paying a fresh daily rate every morning, you hold one vehicle for weeks at a time, and the effective daily cost drops the longer you keep it. Economy cars start around 15 US dollars a day, with the exact figure shown once you pick your dates; the monthly booking simply spreads that rate across a full stretch of days so you are not renegotiating anything at the counter.
Who a month behind the wheel suits
A monthly rental fits people who are here long enough that taxis and app rides stop making sense. Remote workers running a project from a rented apartment, snowbirds escaping a northern winter, and anyone relocating or scouting the area before a move all end up in the same place: they need a car that is simply theirs for the month. One vehicle covers the grocery run, the trip to the pharmacy, the airport pickup for visiting family, and the weekend drive to a beach further down the coast.
What the monthly rate covers
The rate you see at booking already includes collision coverage and liability with a fixed excess, unlimited mileage, and delivery in the Punta Cana and Bavaro area. We bring the car to your hotel or address with a full tank, or meet you at the airport, and collect it at the end of the month. A hold sits on your credit card depending on the car and the coverage you choose, and it is released after you return the vehicle.
- Unlimited mileage, so errands and weekend trips do not add up against you
- Collision and liability coverage with a fixed excess built into the rate
- Delivery and collection in the Punta Cana and Bavaro area
Keeping the car healthy over a long stay
Across a month of daily driving, small things come up: a service interval, a tyre that needs attention. Tell us and we sort it during the rental, arranging a replacement vehicle if the car needs to be off the road for any real work. To rent you need a driver's license, a passport, and a credit card in the driver's name; the minimum age is 21, with a small surcharge for drivers under 25. Tolls on the highways are paid in cash pesos, and the amount shows on the booth screen as you pass.

Execelente servicio muy buenos autos y a buen precio
Me gustó mucho el servicio. El coche está en buen estado. Elegí un descapotable para dar un paseo con mi hijo. Fue una experiencia estupenda. Lo recomiendo. El personal es atento y amable.
This is the second time we’ve rented a car in the DR. Auto Dominicana was by far the easiest to communicate with. They had easy to understand insurance packages. We rented a Jeep Cherokee and it was clean and reliable. Pick up and drop off was easy to do at the airport.
I would definitely recommend this rental place. With so many scary tourists horrible stories go here. I’m from Houston. They drop off to you and pick up from you. They stayed in contact before drop and before pick up. While I documented any prior damages to the car, the guy talked me through them. Saying yes this scratch was there etc.
All was ok, nice and fresh car, pick and drop car was easy. I will choose again when I'll back to rep.dom
Absolutamente confiables autos en muy buen estado una atención de personas extranjeras para tomar y dejar el auto. Todo muy fácil y te devuelven la seña con los mismos billetes que vos le diste. Recomendable 100% y la tarifa una de las mejores. Gracias Autodominicana.
